Archives: Good Ju-Ju

Today Julia saw two dragonflies “marrying.”

Good Ju-Ju

One of the many rss feeds I subscribe to is ffffound. I was taken completely by surprise when I saw Ju-Ju’s Numbers show up there. Very cool.

Another child?

I thought the title of this post would get everyone’s attention. No, we are not expecting. Julia and I were riding bikes and she was talking about how Conrad is riding Weston’s old bike and Harper could ride Julia’s old bike. She said something about what would happen when we have more…

Rich: More what?
Julia: More kids.
Rich: What gave you the idea that we will have more kids?
Julia: Well, we might. You don’t know.
Rich: I don’t???
Julia: Well, you might have an idea, but you don’t know for certain.

So, now I’m trying to figure out if we just had the big father-daughter talk.

Bedtime Stories

This is what Julia drew after watching Bedtime Stories:

“Those would be big on a cow.”

Julia drew these numbers getting married. She has the bride’s maids and someone playing the piano…all very cute. Then, you turn the page over, and on the other side, she drew all of them being eaten by a dragon:

That’s my girl!

The Kids…in 3D

I liked all of the photos I took of the kids in their 3D glasses, but this is my favorite because it looks like a band photo.

Harper’s Journal

We started a journal for Harper and Julia wanted to illustrate it. This was the first page that Julia did:
Now that’s just inappropriate.

Julia’s friend had a birthday party and everyone was supposed to dress up like rockstars. The whole idea was inspired by Hannah Montana and Julia is not a fan. So, I suggested we paint her face like the band KISS. She, of course, has no idea who KISS is, but went along with the idea anyway. I asked Julia what her friends thought of her face painting and she said, “Well, the adults all seemed to like it.”

The boys felt left out, so we painted their faces as well. Conrad wanted a blonde beard. We couldn’t talk him out of it.

I try to keep the blog apolitical, but I couldn’t resist. It was completely unsolicited.
Just so it’s clear, this blog endorses neither political party and the only political opinion Julia has offered is that that maverick Palin lady is pretty.
